3 weeks and counting

Today marks three weeks since our home study was submitted.  Our licensing specialist said the average wait time is 4-6 weeks to receive certification from the state.  We are hoping to hear something soon!

  1. Think about you guys!!! (:

    • I think of you often! We were just out in LA for an overnight visit. We are hoping to go back sometime this summer. I am not sure how far you are from LA, maybe we could hook up for dinner. I will let you know if/when we are coming and see if it will work out.

I was feeling impatient when I wrote this blog. It was about a week and a half later we received our certification. Now we have had our certification for two weeks and I feel like… “when are we going to get a call”. This waiting game definitely is a challenge. I’m hoping we don’t have to wait too long.

  2. Your Door Will Open Someday……Be Patient. Your turn is coming!

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 NIV

CONGRATULATIONS on finishing all your ‘home study’ and moving on to the next step of the process. So proud of you both for all the effort and perseverance you have demonstrated over the past few months.
We are standing in faith— filled with hope for the right things to come into place so you will see the culmination of your efforts and heart wishes. We know you have many others believing for you as well. Love, Dad and Mom W.

    • Thanks mom. This whole process is a test in patience. Maybe it is all in preparation for the added patience I will need with children. I found it easier to wait when there were tasks I was completing or things to be checking off my to do list. Now we are down to just waiting. I’m hopeful we won’t be waiting too long.

      • My dear….you have conceived a dream….and now, unlike a natural pregnancy, you are not privileged to know the gestation timing. But you and hubby will with care carry this dream forward until it is time for you to cuddle and love the child/ren that will one day be your own.

      • I know once we reach the end of this journey, we bring our kids home, and are able to adopt them, all of this waiting and anticipation will be fulfilled. It will be worth the wait!
